nica trip

so to end my travelling tale of nicaragua, we went out with another couple saturday night and lived it up in the luxurious night life of nicaragua. not so glamourous truth be known. bbuuuttt, i did eat some ice or a snack somewhere along the night that made me extremely sick so i puked my guts out for all of the night and all of sunday until about six when the owner of the b and b went to the pharmacy and got me something. monday i woke up feeling better but very weak. i was a trooper though, and hopped up and gobbled down a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then to an incredible volcano which i have shown on flicker. it was huge and very high up. we shuffled through that and went to the grenada cemetary which was pretty incredible and grand. we got to the border, changed cars, did our passport stuff and headed home with only a bit of time to spare. we ended up being an hour and a half late to the rent a car place but our friend bob, stayed and waited for us ad even gave us a ride home in the rain. all is all it was an interesting trip with lots of cool and new sights to see. i am already looking forward to my next trip to either panama, belize, or hondurus. love to alllllll. dmob supreme

Talking to Gail today and they have been to Panana. She said you two would find that a good excursion, closer than the other two and more highway driving. She said it is totally different from Nicaragua or Honduras or Belize. In my visit to Roatan Island, Honduras with Mona back in 1991, there were resorts that were very expensive on one side of the island and you rode the ferry to get to the rich side and there were third world country environments on both sides. One of the draws for Roatan was the swimming with the dolphins and deep sea diving, which came with the amenities of the place we stayed. I walked all about the place daily alone and was unafraid. It was very small. We were told not to go out alone at night. Mona dived three times a day. We went to a nearby island and swam in the Carabean Sea and had a picnic there on white sands. The temp ranged in 100-107 range daily. Gail said Honduras is very expensive as is Belize, and Belize would be so much further. So nice to hear all about your excursions. We had to be very careful too and not eat ice or drink any local liquids. We took several boxes of Amodium, too. Hope you are well and enjoying the second month of your stay. The time is going by so fast. All are well on the homefront. David Sedaris has a new book coming out October, the Ice Skating Party, with six new stories; will reserve it and send it to you in your Halloween Treat Box. Nokienokie
